In person interview in SF
Install/upgrade and configure Cloudera clusters.
Administrator experience with Hadoop stack technologies (Impala, Kudu, Spark, MapReduce, HDFS, Oozie, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Hive, YARN, HBASE, Sqoop, Flume, etc
Hands-on day-to-day in administering a Cloudera cluster with Cloudera Manager, Cloudera Director, Cloudera Navigator.
Implement security measures i.e. cluster disk encryption, role-based access, Kerberos authentication etc.
Performance analysis, troubleshooting and resolution (this includes familiarity and investigation of Cloudera/Hadoop logs)
Review performance stats and query execution plans and recommend changes for tuning Apache Hive queries.
Work with Cloudera on open issues that would result in cluster configuration changes and then implement as needed.
Experience in Linux operating systems, shell scripting.
Knowledge of Scala/java, Python is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and L2 support process knowledge.
