JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role: Hadoop Admin
Duration: 12-24 months
Location: Richmond, VA
Interview: Phone + Skype
Required:
1) 5+ years of experience as Hadoop Admin on any of the popular Hadoop platforms (Cloudera, Hortonworks, AWS EMR, Azure HDinsight, etc
2) Must be proficient in using tools (or developing scripts) to monitor and alert on wide range of issues on cluster
3) Must have expertise and ability to keep the Hadoop cluster available and provide optimum performance
4) Hadoop development is big plus (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, Phoenix, Oozie, Zookeeper, Sqoop, etc
5) Must have good verbal and written communication skills
