Manages the administration of an organization''s Hadoop Clusters. Analyzes the organization''s needs and develops a long-term strategy for data storage. Establishes policies and procedures related to data security and integrity and monitors and limits database access as needed. Oversees the design, maintenance and implementation of the systems that manage an internal database. Familiar with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
Bachelor''s degree with at least 8 years of experience in the field. 3 years of professional experience working with Hadoop stack, preferably with Cloudera CDH, particularly Hive, Impala and HUE.
Hands on experience using HIVE and Spark.
Fluency in other programming languages such as Python, Scala, R with the ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly.
Understanding of cloud and distributed systems principles, including load balancing, networks, scaling, in-memory vs. disk, etc.
