Guidewire Policy Admin
12+ Months
Job Location : Purchase , NY
The resources would need to have a strong working knowledge of the policy admin system called WINS, and a data management system called Millbrook, which is now a Guidewire product. These would be technical resources, that have a strong insurance knowledge and In-depth knowledge and experience using and applying analytical software, database management system software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software
Expert ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong communication skills are a must for this role. Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail
Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question
Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity
Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements
Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external customers’
Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with users/clients
Expert Level Guidewire/Java Developers with Guidewire Policy Center
Previous experience configuring the Guidewire Toolset
Experience working directly with Guidewire Policy Center for Commercial Lines
Strong Object Oriented Analysis and Programming experience
Working experience in Agile, Strong Java Skills, Strong Java J2EE developer ,
Must have Web service experience / SOA
Strong insurance knowledge is must
Strong integration development experience
Must have a Strong JMS/Queue development experience
Strong SQL experience
Strong Database experience – Oracle, DB2
Experience with analysis and resolution of Guidewire or other application performance issues
Must have a strong experience with XML
Developing Plugin and Custom batch components in Policy Center.
Designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code within Guidewire Policy Center.
Develop real-time web service and near real time message based integrations.
Working within a development team using Agile methodology.
Handling the responsibility of organizing code merges and environment management tasks.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or specific relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, equivalent work experience of 8+ years overall IT experience
Depth knowledge in Insurance ,Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required
Proven ability and desire to mentor/coach others in a team environment
Some travel maybe required.
