Description
Translates user requirements into design for new software or extensive software revisions. Creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms. Provides expertise on cross-application implications. Approves business requirements, estimation, functional specifications, testing strategy and other activities to ensure architectural alignment. Works closely with stakeholders to identify and negotiate opportunities to apply architecture standards and guidelines. Years Exp: 10+. Experience: Relies on extensive experience to plan and accomplish tasks . Leadership/Contributions: May lead multiple layers of resources. Reports to: Director or VP. PolicyCenter Development Lead

Act as a Guidewire/Integration/Configuration SME for the Client PolicyCenter technical team.
Assist with how to complete and utilize the Integration Detailed Design and transition into development
Initially assist developers with learning curve issues – logistics, starting development, sample APIs, etc.
Work ahead on mock ups, POCs, or starter code for integration APIs and other components to jumpstart development.
Answer questions and/or track down resources to provide additional details or clarity as needed.
Work with Client and SI PMs on project issues for timely mitigation and project health.

Work with Client and SI PMs on iteration & release planning and resource allocation.

Monitor TFS burndown charts and dashboards/queries for both the technical and functional work streams to identify bottlenecks and mitigate issues quickly.

Work closely with our SI, Guidewire, and external vendor partners on integration specifics and coordination.

Coordinate and participate in code reviews when code is delivered.

Work with developers on automated unit testing and build/release best practices.

Help resolve code conflicts and environmental issues as needed.

Work closely with the solution architect for claims to share knowledge and augment collective skillsets. Build synergy.

Work with developers to transfer knowledge and help them along the learning curve on Guidewire development and configuration.

Participate in project and workstream meetings to provide project updates, discuss issues, and mitigate risks.

Attend daily standup meetings for the functional and technical work streams
Focus on resolving blockers and keeping resources engaged and moving forward.

Create working integration/configuration code/APIs as bandwidth allows.
