Job Description:
This person will be responsible for the layout of publications, infographics, charts and graphs, flow diagrams, images, reports, brochures, newsletters, forms, leaflets, presentations, or books.
This person will be expected to organize graphic design projects from Conception to completion; evaluate graphic design for Style, arrangement, Color, technique, and effect; electronically produce a finished product for digital dissemination and print publication, display or on-line/website usage; and does other related duties as required.
Able to design and assemble exhibits and displays such as information signs and photo displays; able to create precise art illustrations using Scans of traditional drawings, digital drawing skills or by modifying existing digital art files; able to create illustrations, posters and overlays as visual aids for special presentations by employees; able to compile and archive digital files, including image files and page layoutfiles; must possess an eye for detail, including strong proofreading skills,
Skills Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Squarespace (other web design platforms area plus), and Adobe Creative Suite as well as other publishing and graphic software tools Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAS):
Knowledge of layout techniques, aesthetic design, and color registration techniques Knowledge of the elements which make effective exhibits or displays.
Ability to Create a cohesive theme across multiple media types
Ability to produce artwork from verbal descriptions of requirements
Ability to select graphics that communicate conception or idea to target audience.
Ability to Communicate orally and in writing
Ability to identify software/hardware problems associated with the creation and production of text graphics
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and evaluate relevant information from various types of Source material
Ability to produce quality materials under short deadlines and timeframes.
Experience with HTML, CSS, Responsive Design, and Web Software. Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus
Ability to use both PC and Mac systems
Ability to investigate new technologies, software and tools that could realistically be used to Support and add efficiency to production process Ability to explore and generate different, creative, imaginative or unique approaches
Develop and maintain skills commensurate with industry-wide best practices.
Experience Required:
At least two (2) years of recent work experience in work involving graphic arts is a must
Education Required:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate''s degree in Graphic Designs or Multimedia Design. Bachelor''s degree is highly preferred
