Global IT Security – Security Operations Sr. Manager
Summary:
As part of the Global IT Security team, the Global IT Security Operations Sr. Manager will lead a team responsible for all aspects of the IT Security Operations function. This includes end-point security, perimeter security, threat and vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response. They will interface with several Global IT functions and external vendors, proactively define IT Security policy and procedure, and ensure the adherence to corporate standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the day-to-day IT Security operational activities. This includes the end-point security suite, firewalls, threat detection, security information and event monitoring (SIEM), and incident management.
Responsible for setting the strategy/roadmap for the Global IT Security operational technologies used to protect system.
Advise on security issues impacting systems by identifying and mitigating IT security threats and vulnerabilities to information systems.
Develop and maintain the Global IT Security incident response (IR) processes, procedures and tools to support the enforcement of the company’s IR plan.
Capture and report key security metrics to Senior IT management.
Experience with multiple security platforms and defensive layers, including anti-malware, firewalls, proxy servers, intrusion prevention systems, logging correlation and management, operating systems, protocols, and incident response.
Significant experience in managing and remediating security incidents
Knowledge of security best practices, including least privilege, defense in depth, attack vectors, etc.
Ability to demonstrate excellent decisive judgment and assess the potential business impact when researching a security event or incident
Experience with Cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and the security implications and requisite control frameworks.
Significant experience with vendor management
Experience in managing global security initiatives
Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management
Requirements:
BS/BA degree, Master preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience working in IT security in a mid to large sized global organization.
Minimum 5 years of management experience.
CISSP/CISM or comparable certification
Proven leadership skills and is results focused
