Duration: Very Long Term
Location TN.
Rate is $45-50/hr C2C.
JOB SUMMARY Provide GIS database administration for the existing and future ESRI ArcGIS Server environment.
Also provide high-level GIS mapping, analysis and modeling to support the Client’s needs. The current VM environment concurrently runs ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 on a SQL Server database with over 15 web-based GIS applications.
This system is scalable and will grow with future needs.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
x Provide GIS SDE database administration in support of the SQL Server database
x Develop technical standards including tools & platforms to the application development team for database design
x Create and maintain database operational documents
x Implements data models, database structure design, backup and recovery processes
x Work along with the Client’s SQL Database Administrator to install and maintain development and production databases (e.g., SQL Server databases)
x Audits and maintains databases x Identifies; tests; and resolves complex database issues (e.g., monitoring and tuning
x Performs database system management functions (e.g., software installs, version upgrades and configuration management)
x Defines, recommends and develops database standards, procedures and architecture
x Make recommendations related to performance and efficiency of GIS data storage
x Geo-Database security administration (e.g., users, groups, roles etc
x Develop python scripts to automate complex database procedures
x Perform complex GIS analysis with a variety of data formats, Shape Files, Personal Geodatabases, Third Party data sources (Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, etc, images
x Utilize the suite of ESRI GIS software including all extensions (Network Analyst, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, etc to perform high-level analysis to support various mapping projects and web-based applications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
x Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, Engineering or other related field.
x 3-5 years demonstrated professional working experience in SQL Server, ESRI Arc SDE and ArcGIS Server system administration
x Experience in utilizing ESRI suite of desktop GIS software including all extensions
x Working experience in Python Scripting
x Must be experienced with SDE and GDB system tables and relationships, SDE stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions.
x Must have working experience as a SQL database administrator as well as an ArcGIS SDE administrator ADDITIONAL PREFFERED SKILLS
x Experience in application development utilizing various languages (C# .NET, ADO .NET, SQL/transact-SQL, VBA, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML)
x Experience with MS SQL Server 2012
