Title: GIS Analyst / Technician (Junior)
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 6 + Months (With Possible Hire)

General Qualifications:
The successful candidate must:
Design, develop and support GIS analysis processes
Design, develop and support cartographic solutions
Identify and implement best practices for GIS data management
Utilize GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers
Minimum Qualifications:
For consideration, the candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
A 4-yr college degree in GIS or a closely related field
1-yr experience with Autodesk’s AutoCAD software, ESRI ArcGIS software applications.
1-yr experience working with basic GIS concepts such as drawing scale, data integration, spatial database, symbology, layer control, etc.
1-yr experience with reading and understanding cartographic standards.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail, customer focus, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate and/or Licenses: Geographic Information Science Certificate or equivalent.
Experience developing maps of airport roads, buildings, and runways.
Experience developing maps with a focus on asset management (underground utilities, lighting and signage facilities, etc
General knowledge of Maximo Asset Management System.
