Role: LDAP Admin

Experience required: 8+ years of experience;
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Project Overview
This position will be responsible for support of the open source LDAP environment. The associate will work closely with infrastructure, network, database and application teams to ensure business applications are highly available and performing within agreed on service levels as it relates to LDAP authentication and authorization. In addition, this position will contribute to the automation and scripting of tasks performed in the LDAP environment.

Desired Competencies
Ensures the operational tech support for all facets of the NYL’s Directory and Authentication systems.
Maintains all LDAP services and administration
- Performs LDAP Directory upgrades, enhancement and revisions
Works with engineers and application developers groups to implement solutions for the company’s LDAP services.
Responsibility for the flow of identities to and from all NYL systems of record.
Interfaces with designated departmental liaisons to review current and future identity management needs.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Ability to understand complex technical issues
Helps troubleshoot user-related issues.
Helps troubleshoot application-related issues.
Keeps current on technical innovation in the area of local and federated identity management.
Participates in the development and maintenance of user documentation
Participates, as appropriate, in the development and implementation of identity management policy.
Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with the management and staff of NYL
Perform Certificate management for LDAP servers
Create new scripts and understanding of existing scripts
Involve directly in Disaster Recovery

Additional Skills/Requirements
* UNIX background is recommended; have worked with Solaris preferred.
* Being able to program in PERL and Java is a plus
* In-depth knowledge of Sun LDAP, design and implementation
* CA-Siteminder, Single Server Sign-On SSO,
* Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, be systematic, technically curious, and self-motivated
* Ability to work effectively with a wide-range of constituencies in a heterogeneous technical environment
*Must have comprehensive knowledge of Java, LDAP, JSP, XML, XSL, ASP, Javascript and Ajax
*Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and Unix is required;


Expectations from the role
- Be proactive and cooperate fully with all other internal or external parties to resolve the Calls.
- Willing to work on call support.
- Adherence to defined call handling procedures and end to end responsibility till call completion.
