In this role, you will be developing a Node.js Express application using React components.
You will develop both server-side and frontend features.
You will need to be comfortable working on a small team in close collaboration.
You will be working in an agile environment. You must be comfortable resolving ambiguity through collaboration with others across our organization.
You will be part of a team that values automated testing.
Project Description:
Developing e-commerce view applications that uses multi-tenant platform web services.
Engineers develop application code for the browser and Node.js server using React.
In addition to solid front end skills, the ideal candidate will be an expert with server-side JavaScript, and the Node.js runtime.
Automated tests will drive your code as it consumes back end services.
You will be part of a fully engaged and self-organizing team.
Required Experience
At least 8+ years of relevant broad software engineering experience
BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience with large-scale distributed systems and web-oriented architectures
Developing JavaScript applications that run in Node.js
REST clients and services
Automated testing in a complex environment
Version control with Git
Frontend technologies using React or similar experience
Core CSS competency
Linux command line
Task runners such as Grunt or Gulp
Preferred Experience
Exposure to being a Technical Lead on a complex distributed systems project
Experience with Express, Webpack, Jest, Mocha, and Selenium/SauceLabs
