Job Description:
Developing an web application independently utilizing Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

This candidate must be a full stack developer who is experienced with front end, middle layer, and backend development. He or she must be a green card or Citizen and have developed an application independently from scratch.

Experienced developing an application independently
Proficient in the following technologies: Java / J2EE, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
Demonstrated expertise in programming methodologies & JAVA technologies such as Java/J2EE, EJB, CDI, REST, ORMs (Hibernate, MyBatis, Spring JDBC,…) MVC Frameworks (JSF, Prime Faces, Seam, Spring MVC, Struts, etc), and frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS
* Experience configuring and deploying to at least one application server such as JBoss, Wildfly, WebSphere, or WebLogic.
* Required experience with Maven and Eclipse IDE and some form of version control (i.e. Git, SVN, GitLab)
Built a database scheme from scratch
Experienced with Hibernate or relational mapping functions
Experienced with object relational mapping
Reporting and workflow processes
Databases, installations, and optimizations

- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a full stack application developer.
- Must have experience building relational database as part of a web application.
- Must have experience building web applications including set up of database connections.
- Must be able to work independently from attending meetings with stakeholders to building a secure web based application.


As a member of a 6-8 person team this position will serve as a cross-platform application developer for the Business Application Development Group (BADG) in the client Office. The programmer will be responsible for converting business requirements into secure web base applications. The work will require the ability to build scheduled jobs to migrate source data from campus systems to ensure consistent and accurate data analysis and reporting. This position requires experience successfully building business application using technologies and tools such as Java / J2EE, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.

This contract position will be responsible for developing, testing, troubleshooting and supporting business applications for areas such as Budget and Finance, Sponsored Research, Contracting, Space/Facilities, Academic Personnel, Academic Compensation, Information Technology, Human Resources, and the Human Research Protection Program. Strong candidates will be considered for conversion to career positions in the future. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining complex web-based and computer-based administrative information systems across multiple platforms serving all areas of Academic Health Sciences and will interface with Directors, stakeholders, and programmers to provide guidance on the availability, reliability, and quality of data within Business Application Development to accomplish projects and goals. The work with involve building applications to help stakeholders manage their business data and support new business processes.
