Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Developer to join the Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) group in Houston as a developer on the Risk Services Engineering team. Key duties will be supporting the existing trading a risk systems for the commodities trading businesses, as well as the various development teams around the globe which make use of this platform. Key first-year deliverables will include a migration to the Cloud of key components of our trading platform.
Day to Day Duties :
Build automation and resiliency solutions for existing processes
Extend and enhance testing and deployment mechanisms for our primary risk platform
Enable transition of existing systems to a cloud-ready architecture
Leverage log and performance metrics to identify key bottle necks
Develop high quality, low maintenance software solutions for our key trading and risk systems
Provide third level support to traders and other business users
Experience Required:
A strong Computer Science background
Understanding of data structures and OS fundamentals
Proficiency with at least two of: Java, Python, C++, Scala
Ability to provide analysis on complex problems and present findings in a cohesive and easy to understand manner
Ability to communicate problems and solutions effectively with business and technical stakeholders
Experience in Financial Services Industry preferred
