Python/Django/Full-Stack Developer
Job Location - Washington, DC or Alexandria, VA
Contract Duration – 4 months+
Visa – Only GC candidates
What you’ll do:
Lead the technical planning, user story and technical acceptance creation, and coding
Guide and manage other developers that are contributing code to the project
Estimate the level of development tasks within a project
Identify and correct complex bugs and problems
Plan technical architectures that minimize or eliminates performance problems, complexity, or solution fragility
Review mockups and other artifacts
Interact with business stakeholders and guide them through decision making, determine best approach, provide time and cost estimates and develop high quality solutions using Python 2 and Django
Create and update models, views, and templates
Work with front-end developers to integrate their CSS and JavaScript
Develops web pages using latest responsive design development techniques
What you bring to the table:
Quick thinking and ability to solve complex issues and problems
Overall programming experience of 5+ years
Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems (preferred)
Extensive Python 2 experience including knowledge of various Python frameworks including:
o Django (version 1.4+)
o Django Templating Framework
o Django REST framework
o pytest
MySQL and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of unit testing methodologies
Knowledge of the software development life cycle in a large enterprise environment
Strong organizational skills
Independent, self-managed and motivated
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
