Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and graphic designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it behaves.

As a front-end developer, you will:

Provide a presentation layer that is consistent across all supported browsers and platforms
Maintain and develop user-facing features and applications
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Assist back-end developers in coding and troubleshooting
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Collaborate in an agile environment with other scrum team members and stakeholders
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout our product interfaces
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
Promote usability and coding best practices
Participate in all code reviews and meetings
Create prototypes when needed

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:

Experience working in front-end development
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, JS, Sass
General knowledge of object oriented programming. Experience with Typescript, ES6/ES2015 a plus
Familiarity with Node.JS, NPM, and build systems such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp
Basic understanding of one or more MV* frameworks, such as Knockout, Backbone, React, or Angular (version 2+ Angular is a big plus
Basic understanding of command line tools
Deep knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Experience with source control and code versioning tools
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools. Familiarity with Photoshop is a plus
Knowledge of modern CSS layout techniques, such as grid and Flexbox
Experience working in an agile/scrum project process a plus
Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as HighCharts and D3 is a plus
Experience working with and developing best practices for Front-End development
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with multitasking
Creative thinking within a set of guidelines.
