Job Description:
Develop websites and Internet applications. Use Web development technologies such as HTML, Perl, JavaScript, and CSS. Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services. May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sound, and/or video. Career-Level position within field. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex work important to the organization. Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires six to nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Interested in a highly motivated candidate with skills in front end development specializing in Accessibility. This individual will work independently and on a team to conduct accessibility/usability evaluations, remediate accessibility issues, and develop accessible alternatives to problems. They will also have a basic understanding of WCAG and will have experience in accessible development practice.
Key functions
Understand users needs and how they affect software development
Make recommendations for acquiring or implementing collaboration and accessibility solutions
Participate in working groups to discuss accessibility issues and solutions
Qualifications
In addition to the typical front end dev req you have please add the following:
Basic understanding of WCAG, accessible development practices, and applying accessibility to agile development
