Job Description:
Client is a Web Marketing provider and has an immediate need for a solid Web Front end Developer
The Front-end Development team has a job opening for a front-end developer that will produce cutting-edge user interfaces for web applications running on desktops, mobile phones and tablets.
This role will work in a fast-paced cross-team collaborative environment working with business stakeholders to maximize the performance and profitability of web properties
The right person for this opportunity will rely heavily on front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and preferably is familiar with site optimization and content
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the team to translate work into pixel perfect HTML/CSS/JS
Help manage projects through the design, development and QA
Work with a variety systems and framework
Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers
Identify tasks related to HTML authoring and/or front-end development. Estimate effort for front-end development.
Communicate with business stakeholders to understand the "What" and "Why" of a request to ensure the best possible solution is delivered.
Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software
Oversees testing and develops fixes
Work on progressive redesign and maintenance projects that have an immediate impact on how our customers experience our brand every day
Develop new user-facing features
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Participate in code review
Enable and configure all necessary plugins to power the site''s functionality
Identifying blockers and applying creative solutions within company guidelines
Staying on top of current trends in web development
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong JavaScript skills and experience building single-page apps or other dynamic web sites. Framework knowledge preferred. ES6 preferred.
Strong HTML/CSS skills and experience building responsive sites, components, working with designers, attention to writing clean, semantic markup and built-proof styling.
Experience working in modern front-end development environment: [sass, less], [grunt, gulp, webpack], Node/npm, etc.
Git competency required. Team experience vs solo dev preferred.
Project specific:
Professional experience in a modern JS framework. React is likely something we’ll be using for an upcoming project. Angular or Vue would be other alternatives.
Experience with Cordova/PhoneGap and/or Ionic Framework to build hybrid mobile apps would be a strong plus.
