We have a Immediate need for a Fixture Engineer , This is a full time direct hire role with our direct client in Bronx NY , They are looking to fill this role ASAP .
Title: Fixture Engineer
Department: Contract Engineering - Signal Fixtures
Reports To: Signal Fixtures Manager
Summary of Job Function:
Be able to perform a full range of professional engineer assignments in a full functioning capacity. Knowledge of signal fixtures and be able to design fixtures, produce manufacturing drawings and place parts requisitions.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Engineering required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience required.
Minimum 1-year experience in AutoCAD, Inventor or Solid works.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Essential Duties:
Create Drawings for Customer Approvals
Review / study the fixture data sheets prepared by the Data Collector / Project manager.
Create drawings making use of monitored Templates.
Create whatever number of drawings required for the job (consisting of a cover sheet, car station, car lantern, hall stations
Review drawings created against data sheets in order to insure all items have been captured. Fill out "Engineer Final Check List.
Pass completed job to Order Process / Schedule Coordinator.
Create Drawings for Manufacturing
Review / study marked-up drawings (if any) provided by customer or marked-up drawings by Data Collector / Project manager.
Create necessary drawings to manufacture fixture(s (i.e box channel detail(s) box end pieces, window/ lens details, brackets, hinges etc.
Review all drawings created against fixture drawings in order to insure all dimensions and sizes are correct.
Create DXF files for all sheet metal parts to be cut by Laser machines.
Place Requisition of necessary parts required for job from outside vendors.
