Position Summary
The Testing Lead role is responsible for all testing activities, including the development, planning, and execution of a program-level testing strategy, and works directly with the project team, business leaders and staff to provide coordination of services, metrics regarding testing, and project deliverables and milestones.
Functions include the execution and delivery of strategic program objectives and deliverables; providing recommendations on scope, schedule, resources, budget and risks as related to the quality management aspects of the project.
The Testing Lead will implement a plan that balances the benefit of thorough testing with the costs associated with the task, and will incorporate the various tests required for a successful ERP implementation, including but not limited to basic unit tests, system-integrated tests, end-to-end business process validation, authorization and authentication tests, performance tests, and user acceptance tests. The Testing Lead will assist in developing the ongoing release management and testing strategy for the Workday application

Scope
Consultant resource initially required to be on-site at ASU. At the discretion of the project lead, the consultant may be allowed to work off-site if the workload allows and the consultant has proven their capability to be successful.

Minimum Skillset
7+ years of testing experience
2+ years of testing lead experience where the candidate managed other testing resources
Testing experience of a Software as a Service (SAAS) application
Experience conducting requirement analysis, defining test strategy & design, and lead execution to guarantee positive outcomes.
Demonstrate expertise of building consensus across diverse business groups and leaders.
Deep understanding of program and project management
Ability to develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well with non-technical testers.

Additional Preferred Skillset
Financials application testing experience. Workday Financials highly preferred but will consider candidates with other Financials backgrounds.
Experience with Higher Education
Some experience with automated testing tools
Experience with testing data integrations
Consultant resource needs to be available to work sometime within the range of primary work hours at Arizona State University (7a-6p)
Consultant can work up to 10 hours/day. More than 40hours/week requires approval.
Non-local consultant can fly in for the week for a 4/10 schedule.
Consultant will report to the ASU Workday program manager
