Position: Financial Analyst II

Location: Owings Mills, MD.

Duration: 3-6 Months Contract

Interview Process: Phone & F2F interview

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

* Develops financial reports for Project management
* Summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with
standard accounting principles.
* Position will involve the use of various software applications, such
as spreadsheets, relational databases, and graphics packages to assemble,
manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

Requirements:

* BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business plus 6+ Years
experience.
* CPA or MBA Preferred.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with Clarity, JasperSoft,
Oracle, and Ariba is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of financial industry standards and best practices.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with
proven financial analytical skill.
* Must demonstrate attention for detail, multi-tasking skills, well
organized and work well under pressure.
* Position requires excellent PC and financial systems skills and the
ability to work independently or as a team member.
* Excellent customer focused orientation.
* Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP)
Specifically
* Provide support for Corporate Initiatives Project, including
preparation of funding requests
* Report on project status, including budget, forecasts and actual
spend
* Perform variance analyses and provide ad-hoc reporting
* Provide accounting guidance to project managers, including
capitalization and coding
* Reconcile financials between accounting and CA PPM systems
* Assist in process improvement, procedure documentation, etc.
