Duration: 6 plus Months

Manages the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's local area networks and wide area networks. Analyzes products and recommends use of new products and services to senior management. Manages LAN/WAN performance and security. Establishes and implements policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage throughout the organization. May manage only LAN or WAN area. 10+ years of experience.
JOB TITLE: Fiber Project Manager
JOB DUTIES: Manage assigned fiber projects from inception to completion. Ensure that all activities including contracting, product/equipment ordering, zoning, permitting, regulatory, backhaul. construction and close-out packages are coordinated and completed on time within budget and accordance with the underlying contract. Manage all external vendors and coordinate with internal teams necessary for timely completion and within budget. Lead internal and external deployment meetings with other managers and team members to review status of each site. Must be able to identify and quickly resolve roadblocks. Some travel is required to attend project kick off meetings and project status meetings with vendors. Must be able to provide comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise. Must display prior experience with reporting project status up to director/VP level. Ensure that all sites are maintained in the project tracking system, invoiced and closed with complete accuracy. MUST HAVE SKILLS: Must be highly analytical Expert in Excel - must know how to use VBA, macros, create charts and graphs, pivots. Expert in Visio Experienced with MS Word, Power Point and SharePoint Minimum of 3 years of fiber project management experience or 10 plus years in project management experience within the telecom industry Manage project budgets or related financial experience Customer-facing project management experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage and process multiple data streams DESIRED SKILLS: PMP a plus Advanced knowledge of telecommunication project management Advanced knowledge of Public and Private right of way project deployment, including regulatory and permitting processes Ability to read blue prints Ability to read and understand contracts Ability to direct the diagnosis of work flow problems, critical path and institute remedies Knowledge of construction services (ordering and installation): Telco, power, fiber, construction and vendor equipment requirements. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred Must have valid drivers license REQUIRED SHIFT: Standard Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm pst.
