Title: Microsoft Project Server/SharePoint System Administrator

Location : San Diego CA


Job Description: The PPM Administrator has complete responsibility for system administration of Microsoft Project Server and the host SharePoint farm, and for liaison with the MS SQL Server DBA/System Administrator and the IT Infrastructure team. Responsibilities include security administration, software upgrades and some system configuration. This team member represents the above system changes to the IT Solutions Change Advisory Board and ensures compliance with all applicable configuration and change management processes. He or she will manage all system administration processes, including authoring and maintaining the system runbook. All work is performed on-site. Local candidates only.

Core Responsibilities:

? ? ? ? Second level of application support (escalated from a Project Management Liaison or the IT Service Desk) for Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint users (Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management)

? ? ? ? Create and author a Runbook (i.e., a compilation of routine procedures and operations that the system administrator or operator carries out)
? ? ? ? Root-cause analysis
? ? ? ? Monitor system health (Project Server, SharePoint, Windows Server, SQL Server, etc)
? ? ? ? Manage users, groups

? ? ? ? Manage enterprise data (custom fields, calendars, views, etc
? ? ? ? Develop, test, and implement customizations in SharePoint and Project Server to meet specific organization needs

Minimum Qualifications:
? ? ? ? PPM or EPM system administration (if no Microsoft)
? ? ? ? College or university degree in an Information Technology or related field
? ? ? ? Two to four years of experience with progressively increased levels of IT experience
? ? ? ? Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
? ? ? ? Experience with and understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) processes
? ? ? ? Ability to multi-task and organize multiple assignments independently
? ? ? ? Strong process focus

Beneficial Qualifications:
