Tasks:
This position is required to support to FEPOC / NextGen projects. S/he is responsible for providing direction to client stakeholders and leadership regarding the design, implementation, architecture and hands-on development of Pega solutions.
Demonstrating understanding and implementation knowledge of the most advanced Pega features (Certified Lead System Architect Provide technical guidance to junior developers, insure adherence to the Pegasystems development Guardrails as well as compliance with organizational standards.

The Service Benefit Plan Administrative Service Corporation (SBPASC) needs Two (2) Sr. Requirement Analyst contractors. These individuals will work as part of the Claims Projects Requirements Team supporting the FEP Operations Center® Year-end Benefit changes, Edit Standardization, and Audit Remediation and Monitoring Improvement projects to standardize and improve claims processing.

Projected Level of Effort:
1. 40 hours per week from date of hire through 12/31/2018, with review at 3 month intervals.These are anticipated dates of assignment and that the assignment may be terminated by SBPASC at any time, with or without notice.

Principal Accountabilities:
Under the general direction of the FEP System Manager the incumbent''s accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Pega software engineer will develop solutions in an Agile environment. Works collaboratively in the scrum team to deliver sprints on time.

Working with the Pega Center of Excellence, Pega software Engineer will work with multiple delivery teams working on a variety of workforce productivity initiatives to provide consistent and performant applications that will be utilized by thousands of BCBS claims processors and customer service representatives across the country

Proactively analyzes and reviews emerging technologies, changes in the Insurance/Healthcare industry and the business functions of various clients, in order to determine if the advanced applications fit the needs of changing strategies, goals and objectives.

Develops and maintains technical knowledge through training.
Mentors new or junior staff members on business knowledge, system peculiarities, and complex technical issues.
Travel between all CareFirst locations may be required.

Required Skills
Candidate must demonstrate solid knowledge of Health Care Claims processing.
Candidate must have deep knowledge/experience in using various requirements analysis techniques such as:

Knowledge of or skills to perform data analytics, e.g., knowledge of basic SQL queries
Candidate must haveknowledge of and experience in leading requirements development work

Terms of engagement:
- No telecommuting
- 40 hour work week, all overtime must be pre-approved,
- All timesheets must be updated daily and submitted before leaving on Friday.
