Job Description for DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps professional Administrator with strong development skills with Django and Python. Need to have a big picture understanding.
DevOps Engineer will support the Openstack infrastructure. In addition, will be responsible for the system decommission of platforms as we deprecate legacy tools and migrate our users over to the new platform
You should have strong technical ability, great communication skills, leadership skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
Senior level mindset to work on multiple heterogeneous full stack environments.
Experience with web applications, typically written in python (but possibly other languages) with multiple database backends and middleware.
Great ability to troubleshoot, triage, and form solutions.
Great with CentOS/RHEL systems (v5 - v7)
Ability to code and read code.
Can review pull requests in github and can review code changes.
Experience with vmare, openstack a big plus.
Assisting in the development of and management of processes
Working independently, but part of a team
Troubleshooting application and server problems as reported by users or monitoring systems.
Documenting steps and processes.
Reviewing work of and assist the needs of offshore team and local team.
Providing technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate
A high level of expertise in multiple system environments.
Typically has at least 7 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization.
Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
