Job Description

This role will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activity.  Designs, develops, documents, debugs, and deploys software releases. This particular position shall focus primarily on development of fulfillment applications using a Java technology stack, but experience within a Mule/Apache CXF technology stack is also desirable.


Development and Support of Java based applications
Support design and assist in planning team sprints and projects
Support and maintain projects developed by the team and assist in production outages
Develop new features and enhancements on the platform
Test and certify release of code artifacts
3-5 years of progressive Java development experience including JSE, JEE in enterprise level scalable, distributed and fault tolerant environments, Mule/Apache CXF
Experience with SQL and DBs such as Microsoft SQL Server
Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming/Design principles
Experience with various platforms like Windows server, Linux/Unix
Experience reading and writing UML (Specifically class and sequence diagrams)
Familiarity with open source application frameworks
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
Flexibility to learn on the job and adapt to a changing environment


Extensive experience with Java/J2EE
3+ years of “real world” web development experience
2+ years of experience with the following technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Tiles, JSTL and Web Application Servers (preferably JBoss/Tomcat/Mule)
In-depth understanding of core web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX, JSON, XML, Web 2.0, etc
Experience in Web Services (SOAP, RESTful, etc
Wide breadth and depth of knowledge in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries (preferably PHP)
Experience in navigating cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communications
Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and understand key issues quickly
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
A proven track record in task delivery
Candidate must be a highly motivated individual and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm to the position


Previous experience with transaction or financial services (Pre-paid card, bank card, credit card
Experienced with the following technologies: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, JMeter, Mule, Apache CXF and Subversion.


Working conditions are normal for an office/manufacturing environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
