Title PHP Developer (Senior)
Location Philadelphia, PA
Type Contract to Hire
Curiosity and the ability/want to learn and implement new things.
Strong Experience with PHP, its standards (PSR), and its fundamentals
Strongly prefer intermediate to extensive knowledge in another language like Python, Ruby, Go
Experience with Linux
Experience with web technologies including CSS, JavaScript, and XML
Experience with TDD and libraries like PHPUnit (or similar)
Knowledge of and/or Experience with Git
Experience with agile development best practices and working in a collaborative team.
Experience with relational databases, especially MySQL; ability to design schemas and to write optimized queries against those schemas.
Experience with a framework like Symfony2, Laravel, Zend
Knowledge of and/or Experience with ORMs like doctrine or propel
Some Experience with different PHP runtimes (CLI, PHP-FPM, mod_php)
Some Experience with NGINX, Apache, or other.
Some Experience with caching/NoSQL datastores like Redis, Memcached, DynamoDB.
Experience with developing and consuming APIs
Knowledge of and/or Experience working with high traffic services/web sites.
Knowledge of and/or Experience with Docker and containers
Knowledge of and/or Experience working with AWS services (or other cloud providers )
Knowledge of and/or Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis)
Experience with internal debugging/profiling tools like XDebug, PHPProf, Blackfire.io
