The SBD IT strategy for SAP R/3 is to be the sole Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations across all markets and factories.

Finance are establishing Regional Shared Service Centers in Americas, Europe and Asia to perform country accounting, treasury, accounts payable & receivables management. Local commercial finance activities are in each country

SBD’s SAP Tier 1 ERP Application Services group is centered in Slough, UK, with regional teams in Towson, USA and Asia (India, Singapore and Shanghai

4 ECC6 SAP platforms supporting multiple SBUs. These will integrate into the new S/4HANA Central Finance instance. Under the Functional Transformation program SBD migrating approx. 100 ERPs on to these SAP platforms.

SBD IT recently introduced a new organization initiative to adopt streamlined processes utilizing standard project tools to improve efficiencies in delivering projects, allocating resources and managing costs. SBD are moving to use of both On-Shore & Off-shore resourcing in delivering its commitments.

Principal Accountabilities

Define solutions to be built in SAP and related Integrated Systems to meet defined Business requirements

Architect the design and development of the SAP Finance template in supporting the dynamic and growing environment.

Recommend solutions and designs that maximize the business benefit of IT
Review solutions with Business Services and assist in ongoing delivery of functional design specifications

Evaluate design of all new SAP FICO functional areas area prior to build by Applications Services
Contribute to the design of Corporate strategic initiatives that relate to SAP

Identify opportunities for business improvement by highlighting options to deliver operating efficiencies.
Approve functional design specifications for SAP system changes.
Align solutions and design with other SAP platforms in EMEA/Asia and Americas

Perform role within the context of SBD’s IT Solution Framework
Prepares and presents reports to all levels of leadership and staff

Responsible for meeting budgetary goals and objectives.

Minimum 12 years’ SAP R/3 configuration experience in Finance and Controlling applications with demonstrable record of creative design covering all major SAP Finance functional areas

Extensive experience in Solution Design, Process Mapping, Configuration & Customization, Interface Design and Project Implementation

Demonstrate creative, strategic thinking and problem solving; able to exercise independent judgment in a highly complex environment

Strong formal communications skills (verbal and written)

Experience of working at all level. Understanding requirements as presented, defining solutions and handing off for delivery by On-shore or Off-shore teams.

Multiple SAP projects covering full-lifecycle, global template roll-out within multi-national and multi-currency environments

Adept at learning, understanding and applying new technologies & methodologies to solve challenging business problems

Strong Accountancy background - part qualified / qualified highly desirable.
Track record of delivering creative solutions to complex business problems.

General exposure to mid-sized commercial systems with a focus towards Financials.
Undergraduate degree and 12+ years’ relevant experience, or Graduate degree and 12+ years relevant experience.
