REQUIREMENT :

Expert SQL DBA - Austin TX – 6 Plus Months Contract w: Possible hire
* Candidate Must be GC / USC

Required:
7+ years as a DBA with SQL Server with increasing levels of responsibility
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and newer including AlwaysOn
Expertise in determining the root cause of performance issues, job failures, blocking, waits, etc.
Strong experience in production transactional replication setup, adjustment, and monitoring
Strong experience solving critical issues quickly
Highly Preferred
ScaleArc 3.8 and newer or other load balancing software
Strong database tuning knowledge - Be able to analyze and recommend configuration and tuning changes for both OLTP and OLAP databases
Experience tuning stored procedures to optimize overall code performance
Database server planning and code review
Azure or other cloud database experience
Experience with Delphix database virtualization
Microstrategy support knowledge
MS Certification Preferred
DevOps orientation preferred
