The job duties are as follows:
Prepare 3D models for printing (retrieve files, add supports, ensure printability)
Setting up and tearing down of 3D plastic and metal print jobs
De-powdering of parts
Sieving of metal powder
Removal of support material (plastic printer)
Coordinate/execute part post processing in accordance with traveler
Manage schedule of plastic printers (Stratasys-Fortus, Big Rep-One.3, and desktop models), 3D scanners (Handi Scan, FARO arm), Laser Engraver
Perform scheduled maintenance of various equipment
Proctor the use of the virtual reality room for scheduled reviews and tours
Maintain shop cleanliness and organization, including stocking materials
Enforce EHS compliance for all labs and users of the labs
Provide training for plastic printers (desktop), 3D scanners (Handi Scan, FARO arm), Laser Engraver, bench grinders, saws, drills, drill press, CNC router, CNC Mill, plasma table, pipe bender, bead blast cabinet, hand tools, electronics work bench, vision systems, RFID bench
Host tours of all labs

Required Skills/Certification for Personnel
2 years experience running equipment in machine shop + technical certificate or 5+ years experience running equipment in machine shop

Required Skills/Certification for Personnel
1 Experience with operation of manual machine shop equipment including grinders, band saws, drill presses,
2 Knowledge of manual engine lathe, Bridgeport style knee mill, welding equipment
3 Intermediate level PC proficiency
4 Ability to document and convey technical information clearly (including troubleshooting information)

Desired Skills:
Engineering degree / Engineering technical degree
1 Knowledge of 3D modelling software, 3D print file preparation
2 3D printing experience
3 Experience training others
4 Experience with Magics, Simplify 3D, Insight, NX, modelling and/or slicing software
