Role: Engineer - 4G, 5G, 3GPP, LTE
Location: Naperville IL

Contract to Hire USC / GC Only

This is the updated Skillset from client.
Understanding of End to End architecture of 3GPP LTE LTE-A and 5G systems
Understanding of Radio Resource Management/MAC/PHY layer of 3GPP LTE LTE-A and 5G base stations
3GPP LTE RAN call flows, understanding of LTE Base station submodules design and LTE UE operations
Design understanding for LTE Scheduler for latest 3GPP features
Knowledge of RF connections, Attenuator and other basic KPIs of LTE systems like RSRP, Tx Power etc.
Will be responsible for lab realization of 3GPP LTE/LTE-A and 5G systems
System/Performance/Feature Validation method and Latency measurement needs to be designed by the candidate to test the latest 3GPP 4G/5G features.
It involves candidate to physically test in Lab environment where 4G/5G base stations will be validated for its Layer2/Layer1/Scheduler algorithms.
Inter-operating with third party LTE UEs and other system devices
Working knowledge:
o Linux and Unix environment, python
o using QXDM,TM500 (Cobham),R&S Spectrum analyzers

o LTE Features: LWA/LTE-U/MuLTEfire/CoMP/MIMO/LBT/ABS

NOTE: Requirement is for R&D Group so the general search result of knowing 4G/5G E2E system needs to be further refined with search for depth knowledge on eNodeB/Base station Scheduler, Layer2(MAC Layer), Layer1 (Physical Layer
Masters/PhD only. (Telecommunication stream preferred)
