Job Description :
Position: Embedded Systems Firmware Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 6-9 months with possible contract to hire
Description:
- Analyze system requirements, and plan and estimate development activities
- Write clear and concise design specifications where applicable
- Design and implement firmware solutions to satisfy requirements
- Develop and execute test plans for unit testing; and work closely with the system test team to insure the delivery of high quality software
- Interact with other team members to complete project deliverables, solve problems and to report status
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related discipline
- Working knowledge of C/C++ and ASM programing languages
- Experience with Renessa microprocessors desired, experience with the Synergy platform is a plus
- Working knowledge of related development tools like IDE, ICE, code coverage, etc.
- Working knowledge of serial communication, including I2C and SPI
- BACnet and wireless experience is a plus
- Experience with fixed-segment and graphical LCD displays is a plus
- Experience with Eclipse IDE, GitHub, and Renessa Synergy tools a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5 years minimum related design & project experience
