Title: Electronics Tools Interface Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN/Columbus IN
Duration: Fulltime-Permanent (No C2C/W2)
Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+
Technical/Functional Skills
Electronics or Computer Science Engineer with 5+ year of experience in electronic tool interface development.
Technical Knowledge:
· Diagnostic Interfaces such as UDS, J1939, ODX, OTX etc.
· Engineering Interfaces such as XCP, A2L
· Electronic Tools such as DTS 8, CANape, INCA, Insite, CalTerm, ATI Vision, CANoe, etc.
· Experience in programming skills like CAPL or C
· Experience On Defining Technical Requirements according to OEM and International Standards (ISO/SAE)
· General knowledge of engineering, service and manufacturing processes in the automotive industry.
· Experience with these additional technologies would be helpful: CCP, GMLAN, KWP 2000, ISO 15031
· Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Defining Cross Functional Specifications across various Electronic Control Units
· (ECM, Telematics etc.,)
· Ability to effectively work as part of a global team.
· Self-motivated, learner attitude and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Create new or update existing Tool Interface specifications with additional functionality as required for Cummins Inc. programs.
· Address issues identified in PRCRs assigned to by Cummins Inc. The PRCRs are assigned during a weekly PRCR planning meeting but due to shifting priority needs, the assignments may change daily.
· Support and training of Electronic Tool Interface customers.
· Create and maintain other supporting documentation such as testing guides, design guidelines, etc.
· Support Tool Interface Testing.
· Defining Cross Functional Specifications across various Electronic Control Units (ECM, Telematics etc.,)
