Key accountabilities
Responsible for the stability and quality of ETL application code delivered
by Credit project teams and managed services.
Consult with potential projects regarding correct usage of ETL tools.
Provide estimates to project managers specific to ETL development
requirements.
Provide status to consumers and project managers of ETL development
services.
Troubleshoot and recommend solutions to support issues as needed.
Apply best standards and coding standards throughout the SDLC that allows
for defect free Informatica code / products.
Ensure the quality of the change process throughout the software development
life cycle; help establish and drive best practices and standards, and
adhere to them.
Ensure change request deliverables are produced and completed within the
requested boundaries of time and scope, and in compliance with change
governance guidelines.
Responsible for optimizing loads through Informatica Partitioning techniques
like - Round Robin, Pass-Through, Range and Hash.
Responsible for developing complex ETL mappings, mapplets, transformations
like - Routers, Filters, XML transformations, Union, Update Strategy,
Normalizers, Stored Procedures, Aggregators, Worklets, Workflows, command
and reusable email tasks.
Provide technical analysis and design specifications for the assigned
application deliverables, and work with other team members to complete its
implementation.
Actively track and manage delivery progress to ensure all assignments are in
line with project expectation.
Work to ensure smooth delivery into the operational environment, and
identify and establish the required development and operational
infrastructure requirements.
Work with team members to contribute and share best practices in development
and delivery processes.
Engage with the supported business community and other areas of IT&S as
necessary to deliver application enhancements and to resolve system
incidents.
Informatica 9.5, 10.1 , Oracle 11g, Tidal, TFS, SQL and PL/SQL,
Assist in the design of Business Objects (BO) universes
Essential experience and job requirements
More than 10 years of experience working in all phases of the SDLC in
large-scale enterprise IT environments.
More than 7 years of experience working with Business Intelligence /
Analytic systems.
More than 7 years of experience with the Informatica PowerCenter integration
platform in architecture, design, development, and support capacities.
More than 7 years of experience with Oracle and SQL*Server databases with
demonstrated proficiency in writing stored procedures (PL/SQL, T-SQL), data
modeling, and query tuning.
Experience working in the Energy trading space with exposure to Front, Mid,
and Back Office solutions.
Demonstrate the ability follow best practices in ETL development.
Experience with troubleshooting a wide range of external and in-house
written applications. (I.E.; Informatica, Business Objects)
Demonstrates evidence of project completion, including transition to
support, in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrates evidence of successful operational management in an enterprise
environment.
Demonstrates ability to think and plan strategically.
Ability to work independently and with others in a widely disbursed, fast
paced, team environment.
