Database ETL developer with Strong Unix scripting skills
This position is for a hands-on Senior Database Developer with Perl and shell scripting & Team lead experience having a minimum of 10 years experience in the financial IT community. Candidate must possess a strong background in database (Sybase, DB2, Oracle, and/or Teradata), systems design and implementations including data warehouse, operational data stores, and data marts. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, performance tuning, data analysis and Expert in Unix Shell scripting and and hands on experience in ETL development
The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able work with both users and lead IT team members in a highly collaborative team environment. Candidate should be disciplined, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and delivery-focused.
Skills Required:
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with data integration
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of database/appliance systems, specifically Teradata, Sybase, Oracle and/or DB2
* Strong SQL and database performance tuning skills
* Client and server side development using Web toolkits and Java
* Batch processing and scripting in UNIX/Linux Environment (shell scripting, Autosys)
* Strong Communication skills
* Team management skills
* Hands on experience in ETL development
