Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an ETL developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing data extraction, transformation and load procedures (ETL) and business and technology reports for an Enterprise Data Warehouse using Microsoft based technology platforms and analysis of data from Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and IBM DB2 source databases, along with flat files primarily generated in Excel and .CSV formats.
Facilitate JAD sessions to elicit requirements for reporting purposes.
Work with end users to document business requirements, design documentation, and report specifications to meet the reporting needs of key decision makers.
Develop programs to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of data sources such as flat files, relational databases, and XML file formats.
Develop advanced data transformations using SSIS
Take data from normalized OLTP databases and flat files and create normalized reporting models using various techniques, such as Star Schemas to support future reporting needs.
Nice to have - Develop data repositories and reports using Microsoft based technologies such as Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL and other common platforms
Nice to have - Design and architect all aspects of reporting including end user interfaces for report consumption.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ years of experiencing designing, developing, and testing ETL solutions
Experience building ETL packages using Microsoft SSIS to transform data out of multiple sources, including Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and flat files
Experience scheduling jobs to execute a series of ETL packages
Nice to have - Experience building reports using Microsoft SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Tableau SQL, or equivalent reporting tool
College degree or equivalent years of experience
Great analytical and communication skills
