Position: ETL Tester Development
Location: Greenbelt, MD
Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire
Price: $40/hr MAX
Interview Process: 1st round Phone, 2nd round in person.
Citizenship: US Citizen or Green Card
Experience
Must have strong SQL skills and know how to test correctness of ETL output
Responsibilities:
Possesses at least 4 years of experience in conducting Data Warehouse/ETL/BI Development and Testing
Understands the objectives of ETL testing
Perform source system analysis as required
Act as an intermediary between the Data Modelers, Data Warehouse team and the Test Team
Develops new and support existing ETL processes using industry leading ETL tools
Knows how to create ETL test cases and the accompanying documentation
Work with DBAs and Data Architects to plan and implementing appropriate data partitioning strategy for an Enterprise Data Warehouse
Develops complex SQL queries and analyze data, systems integration experience; understand data warehouse concepts and structures
Data mapping, and the ability to design and develop ETL solutions
Translation of requirements into data model specifications
Ability to multi-task, ability to troubleshoot problems in real-time and diagnose the root cause
Has knowledge, understanding, and enforcement of SDLC Methodologies and Process
Develops, documents, and maintains Test Standards and Documentations
Executes, tracks, and reports on test plans and test cases
Analyzes results and communicate status to other team members and project leadership
Understands Business/Functional requirements to develop, validate, and implement test plans and test cases
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL Commands and Database (Oracle 10g or 11g preferred)
Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and ETL concepts and processes
Fluent in all stages of ETL testing
Ability to perform source system analysis as required
Review ETL development instructions and provide feedback as necessary to Data Architects
Implement versioning of the ETL repository and supporting code as necessary
Develop stored procedures, database triggers and SQL queries where needed.
Support a production environment as necessary
Work with DBAs and Data Architects to plan and implementing appropriate data partitioning strategy for an Enterprise Data Warehouse
Perform basic DBA functions as needed in the Development and System Test environments in support of Enterprise Data Development process and Configuration Management practices
