Position Description:
Senior Testing Specialist for Big Data and DataStage Testing Position supporting a project for Global Data Insight and Analytics, functioning in a quality/testing role for the transformation and standardization of data in DataStage and Hadoop environment.
Skills Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience testing Data Warehouse or Big Data applications using ETL 1+ years of proven experience testing transformations from a DataStage application 3 to 5 years proven experience with designing test scenarios/test cases Experience with advanced query and scripting language (ex. HQL , python) 1+ years of proven test experience in the range of Big Data architectures and frameworks including Hadoop 0.5 to 1 year of any application development experience (Preferably Java, ETL,Mainframe, LINUX/UNIX etc) Must be a self-starter with the ability to work on complex projects and analyze business requirements independently Ability to design test scenarios/test cases for positive, negative, alternative flows and ensure complete requirement coverage Must be able to identify and document testing issues and quality risks, as well as participate in defect remediation Willingness to follow the client QCoE Agile Testing practices and guidelines, including Defect Management using HP ALM Quality Center tool
Experience Preferred:
o Experience working on a Scaled Agile Frameworks Delivery Team using practices from Behavior Driven Development
o Ability to work in a diverse global team environment sharing ideas and working collaboratively Must have strong organizational and analytical skills Must have excellent interpersonal skills with both written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary Ability to evaluate and implement new initiatives on process improvement and technology projects
Education Required:
Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
