Job Description
This role will be responsible for planning and creating production-like datasets for testing needs. You will participate in discovering, designing, extracting, masking/de-identifying existing data, developing, and maintaining test data using appropriate test data management tools and techniques. To accomplish this work candidate will provide the right-sized, production-like, reusable test data for development and QA testing requirements/needs. Focus specifically on maximizing test data reuse, data safety, initial state repeatability with any profiling, cataloging and versioning needed. A solid knowledge of databases (particularly Oracle/DB2/SQL), and de-identifying PHI data is necessary for this role. Working with QA and developers and understanding their data needs for development and testing will be a key activity.
The QA Analyst will develop, publish, and implement test plans and is responsible jointly developers and analysts for the quality of data and software created for business intelligence applications. This position defines and tracks quality assurance metrics and works with the development team closely to meet quality goals. With little direct supervision, the self-motivated tester will research new technologies, develop test strategies and documentation, and help developers identify potential issues in data products. Experience with SQL queries and database testing is a must. QA analyst will have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools. Experience with and knowledge of healthcare data and software is an essential component of success in this role. This position reports to the QA Manager, Web Services.
Skills
8-10 years minimum experience in software testing with a majority of this experience working on ETL testing and tasks like creating test cases/plans, executing test cases, reporting, generating matrices, debugging and defect management.
Excellent working knowledge of manual validations on applications built using Microsoft .Net, C#, ASP.Net and SQL Server, SharePoint
Develop and implement SQL scripts, Stored Procedures
Validating SQL Server Reporting, Analysis and Integration Services (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS)
Experience with manual ETL processes.
Visual Studio with Team Foundation Server

Work as team lead for back end quality assurance of applications.
Develops documentation to support ongoing testing and specific problem resolution.

Follows Quality Assurance standards.
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Well versed in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies.
Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients'' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
