Job Description:
We are looking for an ETL /Talend analyst with expertise across different ETL platforms. Preferably someone who was involved in migration from one ETL platform to another. He/she would be responsible for the analyzing the existing ETL jobs and help establish an approach for migrating them to another target ETL platform. The ideal candidate should have around 10- 12 year of relevant IT experience.

Principal Responsibilities

· Analyze the existing ETL solutions which are on Ab Initio and DataStage platforms.
· Analyze the complexity of existing ETL jobs and sequences.
· Extract and analyze the dependency graph, information flow and impacted database objects.
· Understand identified automation solution, range of conversion effectiveness.
· Must have experience in the driver scripts that are written using Shell scripts & Pearl scripts, and validate how these can be effectively ported into the new ETL platform which will be in Talend.
· Estimate extent of review and manual development involved.
· Create approach and plan for full migration and validation.
· Create guidelines, coding standards and testing framework for the new platform in Talend; and ensure that all the code follows the standard framework.
Required Skills

· Data architect with experience in data integration and multiple ETL platforms.
· An understanding of how ETL platforms work under the hood.
· Experience in designing and leveraging automation in solution delivery.
· Ability to analyze, visualize and document complex dependencies.
· Understanding of infrastructure and environment aspects of ETL platforms – specifically, Talend, Datastage and Ab Initio.
· Ability to ensure solution conforms to non-functional requirements.
· Experience in formal estimation techniques and planning.
· Preferably someone with prior consulting/assessment experience.
· Soft skills:
o Good verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to lead a team and deliver on outcomes.
