Job Description:
The ETL Lead is responsible for ETL strategy, design and development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse EDW, writing ETL code and batch management and error handling processes. Additional responsibilities include the documentation of technical specifications and related project artifacts, including solutions oriented design across the data warehouse

Responsibilities:
Able to Create ETL design documents as per the requirements and high level design document.
Able to create new customized mappings to move data from Source Applications to Warehouse and modified the current existing customized mappings as per the requirements.
Should b extensively used various transformations like Lookup, Source Qualifier, Expression, Update Strategy, Joiner transformations to build mappings.
Able to Use Post and Pre session commands to call scripts which Drop, recreate indexes, run reorg and run stats on the warehouse table which was loaded.
Able to write Unix/Linux scripts and Pl/Sql procedures.
Able to work on performance tuning of mappings and session to identify and remove the bottle necks.
Able to fine tuning the ETL mapping by studying the session logs and identify the bottlenecks such as time involved in building the cache.
Able to write complex SQL queries to test the data in production for analysis by business analysts and to cleanse the corrupted data.
