Required:
Leads ELT resources, strategic vision and advising management of best practices towards efficient scalable solutions.
Identifies best approach for accessing various data sources for use in the overall reporting/BI solution.
Reviews source systems to understand the data models as input into the downstream ODS and EDW data model.
Works closely with Data Modeler and Report developers to deliver overall University Analytics solutions
Advises University Analytics PM on technical approach, estimated delivery times, issues and concerns as related to ELT deliverables.
Reviews control and master data across multiple source applications and shadow systems to identify an approach to align attributes in a consistent manner that supports data repositories that can be leveraged by ELT load programs and data retrieval in the EDW.
Perform transformation of data among various platforms using Oracle Data Integrator
Design ODI Mappings and Packages to perform ELT data transformations.
Debug and troubleshoot ODI mappings and packages.
Modifies existing and creates new ODI deliverables leveraging deep industry experience
Perform data integration and transformation among various platforms using advanced techniques.
Understands ODI agents and when to use them.
Designs solutions in ODI that handle high-volume, high-performance and scalable batch loads
Understands ODI event-driven integration processes and SOA-enabled data services.
Leads by example and performs as team player working well with others in transparent and professional manner to achieve the overall goals of the University Analytics program
Works independently to produce deliverables of high quality by thoroughly testing code and ensuring alignment with business requirements
Advise on best approach and leads the set up and maintenance of a secure, multi-user ODI environment.
Understands ODI capabilities around changed data capture, Web services, SOA and meta data repositories
Determines best practice for establishing technical standards for ELT objects and components
Defines strategy for migration approach of ODI objects between environments that support sufficient change control
QUALIFICATIONS:
7 years of experience working as a datawarehouse developer using industry leading ETL/ELT tools
5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
2 years hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator version 12c
Expert level understanding of creation and maintenance of ODI Topology, Models, Mappings, Security and Other Objects
Expert knowledge of concepts related to Master Data Management and Meta Data strategy
Expert knowledge of performance tuning of high volume, high load batch integrations
Expert in high-performance movement and transformation of data among various platforms.
Expertise in gathering requirements from non-technical business users and turning into technical solutions.
Expert in designing and implementing efficient approach to load datawarehouse targets with various star schemas, facts and dimensions.
Expert in producing ELT/ETL deliverables on a BI/EDW project from analysis to Go-Live
Experience with working with Data Modelers, Business Analysts, Report/BI developers, DBAs and system admins in a collaborative manner
Experience with addressing performance issues e.g indexing and tuning SQL Queries)
