Roles & Responsibilities:
To lead the technical design, development, test, maintain and support new or existing software products for the Enterprise Data Warehousing team while evangelizing and applying the best practices of software development. Analyze, define and documents the requirement for data, workflow, logical processes and interfaces with other systems. Responsibilities include the ability to work independently and as part of the leadership group of a larger team to deliver quality solutions across all phases and layers of the software lifecycle.
Experience in engineering and operations of a large scale messaging eco system
Understand how to build and maintain automated ETL processes which include ETL mappings, scripts, and programs
Provides Data Analysis profiling for the business teams
Design, develop, and maintain the software and systems that drive the Stream Processing, Big Data Platform
Interface with application teams and drive best practices in using the Stream Processing, Big Data Platform
In-depth knowledge of data mapping to process data from a variety of sources and the ability to convert data from various sources and formats into standardized fields in a standard format
Work with infrastructure services to make configuration changes and deploy applications
Resolve production issues and communicate resolution to appropriate stakeholders
Knowledge of Cobol, DB2, JAVA, Kafka Connectors (Syncsort DMX, HDFS Sink, JDBC Sink) is a plus
Experience with all aspects of data systems (both Big data and traditional) including database design, ETL, aggregation strategy, performance optimization
Mentor peers and junior developers.
