Job Description :
The ETL developer will be involved in the design, documentation, development, testing, install and support of complex data extract, transformation and load (ETL) programs.
Strong understanding of the Data Stage ETL tools is required.
This person will have the ability to take our logical data model and use their ETL skills to load the physical layer.
Understanding of when data should be loaded, how data should be transformed, and optimizing ETL load performance is a critical part of this job.
Knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL, end-user tools, database and SQL performance tuning.
At least 6 years of recent IBM Data Stage developer experience ndash;Version 9 & above required –require experience with Parallel engine
Must have extensive experience with EBCDIC data
Must have extensive experience with CFF stage
DataStage job level performance tuning experience – 6+ years
Strong Unix shell scripting experience required - AWK experience preferred
Oracle database experience (Must have 11G and above preferred) required
DB2 Connect experience required
Ability to analyze query plans, indexes, and locking behavior
Ability to design automation processes to control data access, transformation and movements.
Build detailed source to target maps
Understanding of dimensional and normalized modeling concepts
Financial sector or bankcard industry experience or familiarity with industry terminology.
Enterprise project development experience.
Technical certifications in relevant areas are a plus, but not required.
Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Strong technical, logical, analytical, problem-solving skills and abilities.
Team-oriented player.
