Job Description :
Individuals in this role will be experienced in requirement gathering for the ETL project assignment, follow the FRS, create the ETL code for the new applications or for maintenance of the existing applications or for the sunset of the existing legacy applications, Unit test the code, providing instructions for the promotion of the code to the higher environment, creation of the required documentation such as Design documents, Deployment guides, Release Notes etc.
This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet all the target dates and expectations.
Qualified candidates will be able to:
* Define approach to build or sunset the code.
* Work with business or EIT leadership to understand the requirement.
* Develop the ETL Code using Ab-initio
* Create the UNIX/PERL scripts for cleaning-up of the existing ETL code, Database objects such as Schemas, tables, SQL files etc. and for cleaning up of the scheduler jobs such as
Control-M or UNIX configuration files.
* Review the ETL Design with the EIT leads and reviewers
* Review the Code Deployment guides with the other service areas teams such as PV, PLT and Prod teams
* Demonstrate advance SQL, UNIX, Control-M and ETL (Ab Initio) skills.
* Develop, upgrade, test, implement, and document software components of Client’s applications
* Work independently and/or within teams throughout all phases of the development lifecycle
* Communicate with end-users, business analysts, and systems analysts to determine features, requirements and solution design
* Develop enhancements to Client’s suite of applications using leading software principles
* Document technical specifications and designs
* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues as needed
* Adhere to Client’s established design, coding, naming and standards
* Participate in Client code reviews and apply corrections as required
* Adhere to Client’s change control processes
* Write/revise documentation including operations and user guidelines
Qualifications:
* BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
* 1-3 years of experience developing designs and code and acting as a key contributor on project teams
* Knowledge of software tools, platforms, and processes such as Microsoft suite of tools, ETL tools such as Ab-initio, and/or other package software applications
* Experience working with DB2, Toad and relational databases
* Proficiency in analysis, and communication skills (written and oral)
* ETL Specific: Experience working in Ab Initio, Unix and Shell scripting
* Proficiency with writing SQL Queries
