This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role in the evolution of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) function at Jefferson County (Jeffco The County is currently in the process of selecting a new cloud-based ERP system for all Human Resource, Payroll, Accounting, Budget, and Purchasing functions. This position will serve as the client-side Project Manager, planning and coordinating all County resources for the duration of the implementation.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Broad understanding of ERP software and business functions
Understanding of the implication of cloud for the ERP function

At Jeffco project managers play in integral role in ensuring project success from initiation through closing. While this position’s primary focus will initially be the implementation of a new ERP system, the Senior Project Manager typically plans and manages a portfolio of medium-to-large cross-organizational projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, and time-constraints. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. The candidate must be a dynamic facilitator able to work with a diverse set of projects and teams, with varying needs and goals.
Essential Duties:
Successfully plan and manage multiple medium-to-large projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing, to completion.
Provide direction and leadership to project teams including assignment of individual responsibilities, and tasks.
Create requests for proposal, contracts, and statements of work.
Identify and manage risks and issues.
Prepare and present project deliverables including project management plans, schedules, risk management plans, status reports, budget plans, quality management plans, communication plans, work breakdown structures, and resource breakdown structures.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts to include staff augmentation and consulting services.
Manage relationships with project sponsors, team members, and stakeholders.
Research solutions, prepare and present proposals and business cases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer a major in computer science, information systems, information technology, software engineering, business, or project management.
Minimum five years’ experience of full time project management work, including experience leading enterprise-level commercial software implementation. Prefer 2-3 years in an Agile/Scrum Project Manager or Scrum Master position.
One or more of the following preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
