Job Description :
Responsibilities:
Develop new features in Dynamics AX, implement technical enhancements and bug fixes.
Develop and support interfaces and integrations between AX, related systems and third party software packages.
Install and configure base components of AX including user groups, security, and connections to databases.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting of issues, be first level of support for production issues.
Architect program design in the development of custom features and enhancements.
Address possible technical issues during the enhancement design process.
Perform database tuning, code migrations, improvements in AX operational health.
Create and document support tickets and solutions, update users on issue progress as per service levels.
Utilize consumer goods process knowledge to understand system’s impact on supply chain, financial, manufacturing, inventory and distribution management.
Write test scenarios, plan and implement AX system tests to ensure that functionality is as expected.
Collaborate with other IT staff, outside consulting companies and business end users to identify and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.
Provide excellent customer interface skills throughout the entire process.
Learn and continue to gain business operations knowledge.
Abilities and Skills:
Ability to turn functional requirements into technical designs.
Deep knowledge of both functional and technical sides of Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 preferred
Ability to develop code and conduct performance tuning on Microsoft Dynamics AX using X++ and SQL.
Understanding of Dynamics AX functionality and ERP process flows (order management, procurement, inventory management, fulfillment, manufacturing, and financials
Proficiency in object oriented programming and writing SQL stored procedures.
Skilled knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database, preferably with some knowledge of SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
Knowledge of Exchange, .NET, SharePoint Services, overall AX technology stack and development methodology.
Excellent verbal, written, teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency documenting business issues (escalating for help as required
Strong competency in MS Office Suite, with focus on intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, Qlikview knowledge is a big plus.
Ability to utilize time, energy, and resources to handle priorities independently to stay on track and achieve goals.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or 8+ years of relevant ERP experience.
Minimum one life cycle implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX with some experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
At least 5 years of hands on development using X++.
Experience in Microsoft database technologies (SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Certification is a plus.
Experience installing and configuring base components of AX, such as user groups, security, connections to databases, etc.
Training experience preferred, testing experience is a must.
Apparel or fashion industry background is a big plus.
Experience with EDI translator software (understanding document structure and interchange compliance) is preferred.
Experience using Qlikview BI software or similar analytics tool (Tableau, Domo etc
Must have ability to identify, solve, and manage problems under time constraints with minimal supervision.
