Description:
Responsible for design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of scalable application solutions for IT Services using structured development methods and tools.
Assist in development of formal project plans related to assigned application development projects, apply service oriented architecture application design concepts and collaborate with key stakeholders, users and colleagues to elicit technical requirement specifications for new and existing applications.
Design applications and user interfaces taking into account application performance and usability, develop comprehensive documentation ensure data integrity and ongoing application support and integration efforts with other systems.
Ensure appropriate use of application of security standards and policies, analyze application performance and provide ongoing application support for Database Status Interface, COMIT Bill lookup and Crystal Reports web interface and others, as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or related) OR combination of relevant professional experience and education.
Three or more years of experience developing complex object oriented programs and dynamic web sites using .NET (C#, VB); HTML, JavaScript, CSS; exposure to other alternate technologies such as Java and PHP is desired, but not required.
Demonstrated experience with SQL Server or Oracle.
Detailed knowledge and experience with complex object oriented design principals.
Front-end design and development experience.
Ability to develop reports using tools such as SQL queries in Crystal Reports or Cognos.
Skills in performing systems testing in the web environment, including unit, string, parallel, user acceptance, stress, and regression testing.
Have satisfactory communications skills to effectively collaborate with users and stakeholders.
Detailed knowledge of Windows Servers operating systems and utilities, as well as familiar with Windows domain file sharing environment and a basic understanding of networking infrastructure.
Familiar with development and version control tools such as Visual Studio, Subversion and Jira.
Knowledge of project management methods and tools such as MS Project and Agile (or similar
