Job Description :
Role
1. The person in this role will serve as IIS and Windows middleware engineering specialist on projects and will be responsible to deliver process and technology solutions for the Physical Security, Investigative Services, and Global Security Operations Center projects
Reporting
1. This role reports into the leader of the project
Qualifications:
1. Must have 4+ years of degree relating to one of these or related areas – Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security
2. Must have 4+ years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft technologies like IIS, SQL Server, .Net framework
Subject Domain & Primary Skills:
1. Must have strong knowledge of solutions design, deployment and operations across the vertical stack from hardware, firmware to operating system to applications to user experience
2. Must have strong knowledge of server, virtualization technologies and their application
3. Must have strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft .Net framework, IIS web server, ASP.NET deployment and SQL server deployment, cluster technologies, workload optimization
4. Must have knowledge and preferably experience working with Powershell, SQL development
5. Must have knowledge of TCP/IP networking to include printing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and port assignment
6. Must have strong knowledge of application development and deployment concepts
7. Must have experience documenting application deployment architecture and systems design documentation
8. Should have strong knowledge of network concepts, protocols and their application
Responsibilities:
1. Work with business analysts, application development & maintenance engineers, external product and solutions providers to design and document application
2. Support the project leader to break-down complex technical problems and solutions into smaller and manageable chunks. Support effort estimation processes for project planning
3. Responsible for providing end-to-end oversight of the entire application technology stack including web, middleware, database and integration layer
4. Responsible for reviewing the code and configurations of the applications
5. Responsible for setting up configuration management system like TFS and Subversion and manage the various versions of code and configuration
6. Responsible for change management of various environments based on the needs of the business and keeping the non-production and production environments in sync
7. Responsible for managing the non-production and production environment composed of above technologies including lead the IIS web server administration
8. Work with IT business analysts and aid in the testing of user-interface, database components and integration components
9. Work with IT business analysts and testing center of excellence and facilitate stress and performance testing of key functional test cases
10. Work with IT vulnerability management and product vendors and lead the remediation of vulnerabilities
11. Own the delivery of documentation of all technologies used in the project
