Role: .NET Developer
Client: HPE (DXC This position is a government role
Duration: 1 year contract with a chance of extension. The estimated start date is 10/16/2017

Job Description: Designs and d! evelops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. All candidates must be a U.S. citizen, pass the Government client’s Background Investigation as well as obtain a Public Trust clearance. Work must be performed onsite.
Qualifications: Required skills:
Mid .NET Developer needed with 3 - 5 years of work experience in development using Microsoft .NET, Web services, and XML following an Agile methodology (SCRUM)
Creating and tracking user stories; sizing story points
Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, TFS
Good understanding of SQL Server, proficient experience with SQL queries and stored procedures
Good understanding of database design, data modeling concepts, and experience with data migrations
Good verbal and written communication skills
HTML5, CSS3, .NET 4.5, MVC, Bootstrap, JQuery, JavaScript

Optional Skills:
Angular.js, Web API, SignalR, Web Sockets, Telerik UI, Bootstrap, Entity Framework
Mobile application development (WinJS, XAML)
Understanding WCF Service/Web Service deployment process
Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit testing
Integration test scripting, and testing methodologies
