Position Summary:
This position will develop application and integration solutions within the Application Development/Systems Integration team of the Point of Sale (POS) organization. This team serves a key role in developing systems and processes to manage data within POS as well as integrating POS with various enterprise applications.
Experience with application and SQL development methodologies and tools is required. Excellent communication, problem solving, and customer relationship skills are required in this role. Must possess a strong sense of urgency and have an eye for detail.
Reporting to the Director of POS Systems Integration, the Technical Analyst will be accountable for application development and technical support. She/he will work closely with team leads, project managers, other developers and business personnel.
Essential Functions:
Solid SQL skills along with prior experience working with DBMS
Prior .NET development experience required
Strong knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience of several of the following languages: CSS, VB Script, HTML, XML
Prior experience using JavaScript Libraries such as Bootstrap or JQuery preferred
2-5+ yrs. experience in .NET web development
2-5+ yrs. experience in database development utilizing SQL Server or similar
BA/BS degree
Ability to maximize technology expertise to deliver re-usable and scalable business process enhancements
Accomplished ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities for self, within a team
Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Required Skills:
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience developing/supporting ASP.Net applications
Proficiency with Windows Server 2008/2012 and IIS7+
Familiarity with web analytics
Must be able to multitask and have experience with interacting within a diverse user / customer base
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Self-starter, must possess a strong sense of urgency
